while i’m not a super huge advocate for pitchfork - i feel like they’ve become a bit pretentious in trying to play the role of ‘indie pop rock guru’ way too hard and instead should try and have a more well rounded coverage of just the most awesome music currently out there. AND, b/c recently one of their reviewers stated that they hadn’t started listening to bon iver until this past summer…uh, highly questionable, how can we trust someone like that?! - HOWEVER, their website can be a great starting place for discovering bands.
their top album/tracks/artists of 2011 is up. check it out.
p.s. if you hadn’t already noticed i don’t really like the look of capital letters so i rarely try to use them. but there’s a lotta that going on in this post.

Flip through their work - outstanding. Warning, not for the light hearted.
